    31 You can cause an arrow to be drawn at the end of each segment, to show the direction in which the segment was drawn.  You can also choose to have that arrow drawn only at the end of the way instead.  Also, for some ways that have direction dependent tags (like oneway) oneway arrows can be shown.
     38=== Segment drawing options ===
    3239
    33 You can choose to show the boundary of downloaded data.  When downloading an area you get and see all the data within the rectangular bounding box you chose. This includes complete ways extending outside that box.  It therefore becomes difficult to distinguish which areas contain full or partial data.  If you check the "Draw boundaries of downloaded data" box, yellow hatching is drawn over all the areas into which data has not been fully downloaded.  You should avoid adding or editing data in areas of yellow hatching as it may duplicate already existing data or conflict with data you don't see.
     40 Draw Direction Arrows::
     41 Draw direction hints for way segments.
     42 Small arrows at the end of each segment show the direction in which it was drawn.
     43 With **Only on the head of a way** arrows are drawn only at the end of a way.
    3444
    35 You can choose to display inactive layers in a different color.
     45 Draw oneway arrows::
     46 Draw arrows in the direction of oneways and other directed features.
     47 For some ways that have direction dependent tags (like oneway) multiple oneway arrows can be drawn on the way.
    3648
    37 In addition to these, the option to switch from "wireframe" to "paint" view can be found on the 'View' menu
     49 Draw segment order numbers::
     50 Draw the order numbers of all segments within their way.
    3851
    39 [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/Filter#Autofilters Auto filters] can be enabled here and the key to be used for the autofilter can be chosen.
     52 Draw segment order numbers on selected way::
     53 .Draw the order numbers only for ways in the Selection.
     54
     55
     56=== Select and draw mode options ===
     57
     58 Draw virtual nodes in select mode::
     59 Draw virtual nodes in select mode for easy way modification.
     60 Allows to add nodes by dragging the cross in the middle of each way segment in [wikitr:/Help/Action/Select Select] or [wikitr:/Help/Action/LassoMode Lasso] modes.
     61
     62 Draw rubber-band helper line::
     63 .A variable segment between the last set node and the mouse pointer is shown in [wikitr:/Help/Action/Draw Draw mode].
     64
     65
     66=== Options that affect drawing performance ===
     67
     68 Smooth map graphics (antialiasing)::
     69 Apply antialiasing to the [wikitr:/Help/MapView map view] resulting in a smoother appearance.
     70
     71 Smooth map graphics in wireframe mode (antialiasing)::
     72 Apply antialiasing to the map view in wireframe mode resulting in a smoother appearance.
     73 In addition to these, the option to switch from ''wireframe'' to ''paint'' view can be found on the [wikitr:/Help/Action/WireframeToggle menu] View Menu.
     74
     75 Highlight target ways and nodes::
     76 Highlight target nodes and ways while drawing or selecting.
     77 Other objects glow when they are in the catch radius of the mouse pointer.
     78
     79 Draw only outlines of areas::
     80 This option suppresses the filling of areas, overriding anything specified in the active [wikitr:/Styles styles].
     81
     82 Hide labels while dragging the map::
     83 This option hides the textual labels of OSM objects while dragging the map.
     84
     85
     86=== Other options ===
     87
     88 Draw boundaries of downloaded data::
     89 Draw the boundaries of data loaded from the server.
     90 When downloading an area you get and see all the data within the rectangular bounding box you chose.
     91 This includes some ways extending outside that box.
     92 It therefore becomes difficult to distinguish which areas contain full or partial data.
     93 If you check the "Draw boundaries of downloaded data" box, yellow hatching is drawn over all the areas into which data has not been fully downloaded.
     94 You should avoid adding or editing data in areas of yellow hatching as it may duplicate already existing data or conflict with data you don't see.
     95 This option can be changed with [wikitr:/Help/Menu/View Draw boundaries of downloaded data] on the View menu, too.
     96
     97 Draw inactive layers in other color::
     98 Draw the inactive data layers in a different color.
     99 Map objects not on the [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/LayerList#ActivateLayer Active data layer] are drawn in grey color.
     100
     101 Display discardable keys::
     102 Display keys which have been deemed uninteresting to the point that they can be silently removed.
     103 They will be listed in light grey color in the Tags/Memberships panel.
     104 These [/ticket/8512 outdated keys] will be stripped off from modified objects on upload.
     105
     106 Use auto filters::
     107 Display buttons to automatically filter numeric values of a predefined tag.
     108 [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/Filter#Autofilters Auto filters] can be enabled here and the tag to be used for the autofilter can be chosen.
     109
     110 Rule::
     111 Rule defining which tag will provide automatic filters, below a certain zoom level.
