Mac OS X text spacing problems

Description

In OS X Mavericks (10.9.2) in 7000/14.04 and 6950/14.03 with Java 7, the text spacing is wider than the characters displayed on the screen.

Whoops, it seems to have been fixed in 7000/Java 7. I remember it did appear in 6950/(whatever Java version it was before the update because I never bothered to check).

Likely a bug from apple's Java then.
