downloaded gpx layer not using the global colour option

Description
set global trace colouring to velocity, download some gpx data. make sure gpx layer has colouring set to "global settings" - observe how one colour only is used anyway (in my case, grey).
this is a regression from 6767 to 6891

hmm. some of these seem to be tracks w/o timing information (displayed kinda violet before), but my testing area showed colours for downloaded traces with 6767, and none with 6891
