Description
When running on Mac OS X, there is an inconsistency with where the menu items appear:
Most of them menu items appear on the main window, instead of in the operating system's standard location in the top "menu bar" (at top of screen, starting with the Apple icon)
However, the "Preferences" menu item appears in the standard location under the "JOSM" menu next to the Apple icon. I almost couldn't work out how to open the preferences, as I expected it to be under the "Edit", "Tools" or "Windows" menu
I guess ideally the menus would be moved into the standard location on OS X. Alternatively having the preferences item appear in the non-standard (but consistent) location would be just as good

Shows correct behavior, not the proposed bug

Seems to be not a bug - just a wrong selected theme. Just switch it in Preferences->Look and Feel to "Mac OS X" (see attached screenshot) and everything should be fine.

"Problem" Showing Josm in Metal theme on Mac OS X
comment:4 by , 11 years ago
Ah, yes - this is indeed only an issue with the "Metal" theme, switching to the "Mac OS X" look-and-feel fixes this. Thanks!
Metal seems to be the default (not sure if it's something odd about my system, but if I remove ~/.josm then it'll go back to Metal) - should it use the SystemLookAndFeel by default instead?
It's very hard for us to investigate Mac OS X issues without at least:
Can you please attach these items for your problem ? Thanks :)
