Make browser configurable - full control for user!

Description

By whatever means, I want full control of what is invoked as browser. No xdg-open, no .[.*]Desktop.* no mailcap, no second guessing the user.

Ideally a textfield where I can enter "firefox %s" or something to that effect.

I have entered #9531 which was closed as duplicate of #5108 which it really isn't so I am entering this again and hoping it is clearer now.

Please do not mark as duplicate of anything. I do not want to worry about fixing gnome-open or xdg-open but just desperately want a working JOSM.

fix #5629 #5108 #9568 - Make Unix web browsers configurable via browser.unix property

Default is ["xdg-open", "#DESKTOP#", "$BROWSER", "gnome-open", "kfmclient openURL", "firefox"].

Action

The resolution will be deleted.

Add Comment

E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences.
