Wiki-Syntax interpretation change of line breaks
Reported by: | skyper | Owned by: | stoecker |

Priority: | minor | Milestone:
Component: | Trac | Version:
Keywords: | line break | Cc: |
Description (last modified by )
There is some problem with syntax interpretation which did change.
Single line breaks are now interpreted which makes it difficult to read the source as long lines (especially with lot of code) could be easily broken in parts and the "side-by-side view does break it anyway.
An example:
This
should be
in
one line.
Former a \\
or [[BR]]
only was interpreted as single line break.
Please change back to the old behaviour. - Thanks

At least it does change the layout on wiki pages and adds more lines to the rendered page. Structuring the source is harder, too, as you can not easily break long source lines.
I do not really what was changed and/or what causes the change but it is/was a change and I was surprised.
If you want to report it to trac go ahead. I felt rather unaccepted the few times I did report minor issues but this could have (had) several reasons.

is it not something to report to Trac itself?
