unexpected behavior of "distribute nodes"

Description

  1. create closed shape with many nodes
  2. shift-o "create circle" (this only for clear view)
  3. "distribute nodes"

what I expect: nodes distributed along smoothed (interpolated) shape of source way.
What I accept: nodes distributed along all distance of source way
what happens: flat line, when select non-closed shape and shit, when select closed shape.
