Description
Hi
I am trying to use the O-Auth certification of JOSM. However, if I follow the instructions i cannot succeed step 2/3 (Get the access token). Less than a second a new window opens, which seem to contain an error message. It closes before I can read it.
I am using debian release 5267 under lenny.
Any help is appreciated.

The debian update policy and the development circles of JOSM do not fit that well. On squeeze lenny, I would always use the .jar files from this page, although I was able to install and run the debian package from wheezy.
BTW: You can use the start script from the debian package to start JOSM. Just copy and adjust.
EDT: Are you sure that it is lenny as this means oldstable and no security updates. -> You should dist-upgrade.

No I did not. I am using r5267, which is the most recent for which a Debian package exists (I do not know how to install the most recent one without disturbing Debian's package management).
I solved the problem, however, by running the most recent version of JOSM temporarily, completing the o-auth procedure and switching then back to r5267. It seems now, that r5267 can authentify me.
