Description
i am learning JOSM i don't know if its a bug I had make a copy screen
i have downloaded cadastre FR (very heavy ?) i have a imac 27" 8Go
When the problem occurs it is impossible to quit or make anything else the solution consist in apple menu and force to quit.

You have to increase the default amount of memory allocated to JOSM when you launch Java, as explained here:

Or have a look at wiki:InstallNotes#MacOS how you can assign more memory to josm. How much depends on your system and use but you are probably save with 33%-50% of your total RAM size. On a Desktop system with 4GB Ram I often assign 2GB (2048M) to josm.
The message is alright (maybe a link to the help page is missing) but josm should not stall.
At least on Linux I was always able to save the file or even close a layer to free some memory.
We need more information. Please post at least the first three blocks of Help -> Show Status Report.

I noticed that you have set the component to "applet".
Did you start josm with the applet starter or did you download and install josm on your system with the installer file ?
