Description
To remap JOSM's delete key to work on a Mac:
Select Preferences menu. In window's lower left, Expert checkbox checked, may already be. Click the left-column pane button (7th of 11 for me) that looks like a corded keyboard to get the "Shortcut Preferences" pane. Click the tab named "Keyboard Shortcuts" (2nd of 3 for me). Scroll the Action-Shortcut pairings about halfway to see Edit: Delete in the Action column. Single click that row to select it. Note the Key selected in the lower right looks similar to correct but isn't. Click the pop-up arrow to its right so you see a small scroll list present. Scroll it all the way to the top and select the second choice in the list, the one that looks like a LEFT-pointing pentagon containing a small x. Click OK. Quit and restart JOSM.

Please describe the reason for your description. Is the delete key on Macos no real key or why is this necessary.
