Description
When asking for advanced information (by menu or shortcut) the url sent to the browser seems being "%u" tha is a litle poor for Firefox...
The same problem exists for the menu (or shortcut) Advanced history.
I tried to see if a base url were stored in the advanced settings but I've found nothing...
I'had this problem with the rprevious version of JOSM and have downloaded the latest to solve the problem, but nothing (I don't exactly remember the number of the previous version, about 4525)
JOSM latest 4533
java 1.6.0

Did you try it with a new/empty preference directory ? Have a look at Help/ResetPreferences.

I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 french
JOSM french
A example way:99638226. I select it, I ask for Display > Advance Info (Affichage > Informations avancées (web)' and I get the %u url. I get the same url with Ctrl + Shift + I.
I just have the same problem on setting plugins : when we have the list of plugins, a lot of them have a link more info... When clicking on one of them, I get the %u url in Firefox.

Damn, a regression with latest Ubuntu version ? Was it working before you upgrade to this one ?
I try to look into it (My Ubuntu laptop currenlty suffers from stability issues, I cannot guarantee I'll be able to check that myself).

Well,
I'm trying on a JOSM v° 4064 2011-06-16, and I get the same problem.
My version of Java is 1.6.0_23
Maybe it is not from JOSM. But how can I check further ?
OK. I've installed Chromium, set it as default browser. All is right.
I have set back Firefox as default browser. All remais right.
Let's say there were a bug somewhere...
