Piclayer plugin will not function with JOSM on Mandriva Linux 2010

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install piclayer plugin.
  2. Load osm map.
  3. Attempt to load atlas images (normally large images, e.g. 3-4 mb maps of india at http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/india/)

What is the expected result? Picture displays.

What happens instead? Error message saying the error may have come from the piclayer plugin.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Last build that has worked with piclayer for me is 3751.
