#6786 new defect

Command stack conflict error message

Reported by: SomeoneElse2 Owned by: team
Priority: trivial Milestone:
Component: Core Version:
Keywords: command Cc:

Description (last modified by Don-vip)

Currently this appears as:

"The data to be uploaded participates in unresolved conflicts of layer 'Data Layer 1'. You have to resolve them first."

The problem with that message is that it's not really English - I can hazard a guess at what it's trying to say, but only based on the buttons that I've just pressed, not because of the text of the message.

Ideally, the message should tell users what the problem is, or how to find out what the problem is, and what they need to do to resolve it. Right now the message does none of those things.

I also have the same problem, so I have no idea what is causing it to this day.

I just found out what it means, when you try to upload in JOSM, and look at conflicts it will show you conflicts and you need to resolve them, when you do then your problem will be solved.
