In order to open the Bug ID URL in Firefox, you need to set to be your default browser Firefox.

Unfortunately, I have to keep IE as default, otherwise I'd break another program. :( Hence why I asked if it would be possible.

Because the Mapdust website doesn't work correctly in IE. In IE, the routes people take that produce the bugs don't show up, but they do in Firefox.
Look at this bug in both IE and FF and you'll see what I mean: http://www.mapdust.com/detail/145575 (just using it as an example)

I did verify this link in IE(9), Mozilla Firefox and Chrome, but it looks the same for me. Which version of IE do you use? Can you provide us screen-shots regarding your problem?

I'm using IE8. (version 8.0.7600.16385)
It seems to be specific to the 32bit version of IE8 as I just checked the 64bit version and it's working fine in there. (I have Windows 7 x64)

I can confirm it's now working fine in IE-8 x86. So, I'll mark this as fixed. ;)

I did put also your new feature request to our MapDust plugin wishlist: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Plugins/MapDust#Wishlist . If you have some other suggestion you can put directly to this wishlist. The suggestions/new features from this list will be implemented in the feature for the MapDust JOSM plugin.
It should work if you define Firefox as the deafult browser (go to the preferences/advanced tab of Firefox). In your case IE is the default.
