Description (last modified by simon04)

Hello,

i think it would be very helpful if the Relation Editor displays the number of the position in the window of the members.

In the window of the Properties, section Memberships the position of the selected element is quite showing. But this numbers does't help me very much becourse this are not showing in the Relation Editor.

Thanks!

Here's a patch, but I don't like it as it put even more information in the dialog, and I don't consider this information very useful (what to do with the position #?)

Hello, that's exactly what I like to see. And I think whis can be usefull.

If you work with relations with many members this would be a help for me. In the property window of the selected object (way, area) there is the position allready visible. This info is sometimes needed to find this element quickly in the relation (maybe multpile). Please add this patch to some of the next releases. It's o.k. if this is default disabled, I can enable this in the special settings of josm.

Replying to tijuca:

This info is sometimes needed to find this element quickly in the relation (maybe multpile).

Why don't you just double click on the entry in the properties list?

You can also jump to the selected elements within the relation editor.

Because I don't know this behaivior. ;) Thank you!

In the between times OSM and JOSM is'nt so importent for me anymore. The TT I oppend 15 months ago, maybe JOSM is more flexible now. So it's rarely uninteresting for me if this patch will be part of future JOSM Releases.

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

The width of the # column could be set to zero by default, but as it is not really needed, I'd favor to keep the current implementation for simplicity. Please reopen, if you are of other opinion.
