saving of gps layer to file ignores input of filename

When saving a GPS layer (downloaded data or loaded from gpx file) into a gpx file via "Menu - File - Save as" and filetype "GPX files" the filename given by user is ignored.
The saved file is created with correct content, but has the name ".gpx" instead of "somename.gpx"

When saving, i must write .extension . Then file is saved. When i write only "filename" file isnt created. when i write "filename.gpx" everything seems ok.

files are created, but they are saved in folder where josm is placed
