Description
Why: when going out to map residential streets, it helps to make photos of street signs or whatever is interesting. All cameras have a clock, so it would be easy to (manually) assign photos to track points.
Typically I would know from the general form of the track that I took a photo there and there. To see the photo, I would want to check the time of the track points and then get the photo by time into a viewer.
Next step would be of course to merge thumbnails with links into the gpx track. Is this in principle possible?

For your second question, you can try to right-click on the GPX layer and select 'Import images'.

i think this is not really a request, the user just didn't know about geotagged images?
