Sometimes I click onto an audio marker, JOSM freezes and does not react to any user interactions. The only way to end it is to press CTRL-C in the console or kill the process. If I start JOSM again, it asks to recover the data layer but nothing happens if I 'Recover', nothing happens. This problem also occurs at the tested release.

The last lines afte the crash on the shell:

I think I've seen ticket about audio freezing caused by some bug in OpenJDK, sun java worked fine. Then there is #5559 (and others) about Restore not working. At least #5559 is also on OpenJDK.

When you start JOSM now, does it again offer to restore layers? If so, please try it again with sun JDK (sun-java6-jre in ubuntu)

Yes it does again offer the restore layers. I formerly used Sun JDK. The problem with Sun JDK is, when I listen to music at my computer, JOSM says "Audiodevice not available" after clicking an audio marker. With Open JDK, concurrent playback of music and audio markers in JOSM works -- but it freezes sometimes.

I think while having a work around (Sun JDK), we could lower the priority of this ticket.
