Deadlock when using tracer plugin

Description

When using tracer plugin, occasionally JOSM gets stuck and stops responding (it does not even redraw)

When I used Jstack on the process, it said it found 1 deadlock.

I am attaching jstack output.

I am using JOSM version 3451.

The version I used previously (it was 3376) did not suffer from this bug.
