I am new to this,but this looks (slightly) wrong.
Reproduce:
Open GPX file, Zoom in, Download map+raw gpx.
Pan a bit, Download more map+raw gpx data.
The last downloaded gpx data is not drawn instantly.
It is drawn you press s.
If you pan in select mode, and do the additional download from there, the additional gpx data is drawn after first mouse click.
