Josm error "out of memory"

Description

Every 15-20 minutes I get this error
"Josm is out of memory. Strange things may happen.
Please restart Josm with the -Xmx*M option,
where * is the number of MB assigned to JOSM (e.g. 256).
Currently , 63 MB are available to JOSM"

(* are the "diesis" that are not compatible with this editor)

I don't know where to change this setting.

Status: new → closed

This is a commandline setting to Java, not to Josm. JOSM only gets 63MB memory from java, when you don't tell Java to give more. Attaching doc files is a very bad idea.

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
