Proposals for some default settings in JOSM

• Should we enble "Draw direction arrows" per default (taking oneways into account)?
• Should we rename "Check for Plugins" to "Download list" etc.?
• Should we rename "Configure Plugin Site" to "Configure..." to avoid cut text?
• Rename "Update current" to "Update" only?
• I'd vote to enable some more palettes per default. Currently only the properties palette is opened. Candidates:
  • Layer list so tracks and waypoints can easily be coloured (cool feature BTW)
  • Selection list
  • Command list
• I'd vote for renaming the menu "Files" to "File" for consistency reasons

OK, menu files alredy is fixed in latest :) .

I guess we should also make Mercator the default projection.

I've changed JOSM just like suggested (both default values and button texts). I've only used "Configure Sites ..." instead of just "Configure ..." - otherwise one could think to be able to configure the plugins here and not the site list.

I've asked the dev list about the projection, as I don't know a lot about this topic myself ...

I've also changed the default to Mercator projection, so closing this one as all has suggested has been done ...
