Description

How to reproduce:

  • Open Preferences->Plugins
  • Update Plugin list
  • Restart JOSM
  • Open Preferences->Plugins

Result:
Description texts show "F�gt dem Hilfemen�" instead of "Fügt dem Hilfemenü", e.g. all umlauts and other special characters are not shown. But the content in 0-site-http_josm.openstreetmap.de_plugin.txt seems like a valid UTF8 file with the correct text.

Expected result:
Plugin description text should survive JOSM restart.

Status: new → closed

(In [3084]) fixed #4660: Local plugin list does not display umlauts
Local cache now encoded in UTF-8 too. You have to remove your cached plugin lists or download the plugin list in the plugin preferences.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
