Apologies if this is the wrong place for WMS bugs.

I'm using YWMS and WMS. The Yahoo images are scaled nastily in JOSM - I _think_ more in one direction than another, which is odd. I see this when I compare the same area viewed in JOSM to that viewed directly on maps.yahoo.co.uk.

It would be great if we could make it so WMS imagery, including the Yahoo imagery, displayed at 1px to 1px, and the zoom level was auto-adjusted to make the OSM data fit that. That would give us the clearest view of the Yahoo stuff, for better mapping.

I don't know if this is a JOSM thing or a WMS thing.

I believe Potlatch does this.

If you switch the projection of JOSM to mercator (this is possible through the preferences panel) it looks much better.
