Was there a data layer or a gpx layer active when you clicked on save?

comment:2 by trekki <bergenholtz@…>, 15 years ago

loaded data: for demonstation of the error i downloaded a small area from the osm database. Means: only one data layer, i made no changes in this dataset

I can not reproduce that with r2651.

Is there a specific bounding box where that happens?

comment:4 by stoecker, 15 years ago

What filename did you use?

comment:5 by bastiK, 15 years ago

Can you open .gpx and .osm files? Can you save downloaded gpx data? (Right click on the layer)

Please make sure the josm.jar is identical to the one on your usb disk.

How do you start JOSM? Can you give the relevant parts of your start script (if any).

open gpx and osm file: works fine. Actually all is working, only when i want to save locally i get this error message
save gpx data: unused until now, but after check: gives the same error message.
file contents: i use

wget "http://josm.openstreetmap.de/download/josm-latest.jar"[[BR]]

on both systems. Therefore i expect that the contents is the same. At least timestamp and filesize are the same.

additional info:

  • the error comes on 2 different systems (win2000, private pc / win-xp, office notebook), on both the installation on usb drive is ok.
  • in win2000 the installation path is
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\John\Desktop\openstreetmap

means: in a folder of the desktop. Is the space in the pathname a problem?

  • installation path on the usb drive is F:\Garmin
