Draw node
Then when you want to create new way, press shift.
Draw way
And another click of way delete previous line from way.

Can't reproduce. Can you be more specific?

  • How do you "Draw node"? Single click on the map? Double-Click on the map?
  • How do you "create new way, press shift" with Shift pressed? If I press Shift I only get individual node, no ways.
