Big edits neither finish nor time-out

Working on Lake Nasser I had to discover that big edits uploaded with Josm either finish sooner or later nor get a timeout.

It looks just like it is uploading all day long. One even can look at ones edits where the last changeset was closed after some time while Josm still sais it is uploading.

I try to append the gzipped edit as attachement (1.2 MB).

Right now as I removed duplicates of Lake Nasser caused by repeated uploading Josm told me it wouldn't upload more then 50k changes. Because of that I'd say this is not really a duplicate of 2075.

Sure? Please tell me what exactly JOSM said (as exact as possible). Can't find any code handling this.

Yesterday I removed the last duplicates at Lake Nasser from the three uploads before. I started uploading at ~6:20 pm. Changeset ​http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/2752714 told me it was closed at 20:18.
The Josm upload-dialog I cancelled this morning ~5:50 am - 11 h 30 min after I started it.

Closed as duplicate of #2075.

There are two problems here: A changeset probably cannot contain more than 50000 changes. The second is, that an upload should not contain too many changes as this takes too long. Both are related.
