Description
Hello,
-Would it be possible to integrate XAPI requests within JOSM (from the main download menu or as a seperate plugin)? Could be nice to have when e.g. editing a large number of specific features.
-The "hiding" function. The idea consists of temporarily hiding or not displaying single nodes and/or their name tags. I think it would help when editing ways/relations in cities which tend to -otherwise- be covered by restaurants/banks/etc labels; i.e. try to make the work-space a bit less uncluttered.
Having little programming knowledge, I don't know if either is possible to implement. However, I'm pretty certain it would make editing data with JOSM a bit more practical.
Finally - I apologise if these ideas were already suggested, and if this turns into a double-ticket (might have inadvertantly hit the wrong button).
Thanks.
You can download XAPI-Data using the "Open URL" in first menu.
The filtering you talk about is handled in another bug. You can try "displayfilter=true" to get that feature working, but use it with care. In its current form you may invalidate data when you assume that anything you don't see is not there. JOSM has no checks and warnings regarding that invisible data (one of the reasons why this is disabled by default).
