  1. Add an API url like "localhost:3000/api"
  2. Try to upload
  3. JOSM throws "Failed to initialize API. Please try again later."

It works with ​http://, so either JOSM should be smart and add ​http:// or tell you in preferences that it doesn't like things without a schema attached to them.

Well, I doubt JOSM is able to 'grok' at all. It's a software and will never reach that level of understanding :-)

I think this is a minor enhancement, not a major defect.
