Just selecting relation members by double clicking doesn't work

Formerly selecting the members of a relation was done by double clicking on the relation. Now that also opens the relation editor. I often used that double click to get a visual overview of which ways are contained in relations.
Now the editor covers a good deal of the main window and an additional step is needed to close the relation editor.

Maybe it's possible to get the old behaviour by pressing Shift, Control or Alt while double clicking.
