Description
On three occasions (as far as I have noticed) the background color of the map window turns grey.
- If I click on the map background, or select a node / area etc. (whole map)
- If a tooltip for on of the icons on the left side is displayed (only part of the map)
- Right clicking in the map window turns the background for everything below the cursor into grey, above the cursor the color stays black.
The grey background vanishes again, if I move the map. Then the color returns to black.
I checked if I'm selecting something, but the 'current selection' window shows no selected objects.
If it would be helpfull, I could upload a screenshot.

java version:
java version "1.6.0_12"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.2-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
I'm currently running JOSM on Windows.
The area seen in the screenshots is
47.4007068359375 / 15.246613671875
to
47.4116931640625 / 15.268586328125
I attached 4 screenshots
- standard.png: that what JOSM looks like after the data download / after moving the map
- after_tooltips.png : the first errors, after displaying all tooltips from the menu on the left
- after_right_click.png : after clicking right where the context menu can be seen
- after_left_click.png : after a left click at approx. the middle of the screen (not selecting anything)
All screenshot where taken after restoring the screen to the normal view, and then doing the respective action.
While making the screenshots I noticed another case where this problem occurs: restoring JOSM after it got minimized also causes the background to look like after_left_click.png
Don't know if it's related, but I have an dual screen setup running.
If you need any more information, I'll be happy to provide it.

After posting the text above I wanted to upload the images and got the idea that maybe a plugin causes those problems. After deactivating all my plugins and enabling them on after another I found out that the 'slippymap' plugin is to blame.
Since the slippymap plugin is a third party plugin -> bug closed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you see if the latest code is any better? I tried to make it draw more often than before.

Please reopen if you're still having issues. I believe all of this is resolved now.
You can upload a screenshot.
What Java version do you use? OpenJDK?
