After browsing the Internet Archive and finding some historical HTTP 301 redirects for the link, I was able to find a functioning, current URL for the blogpost, so I've gone ahead and restored that (same author here; I didn't feel like going through the overhead of creating a trac account currently/yet..)

P.S. Regarding trac account: You can use individual names even without registering :-) Some users use the form "name <email>", but that is sub-optimal, as Trac needs to leak the email in certain situations. When using e-mail an account is the better choice.
