JOSM flatpak app file loss

From a users perspective it looks like one has normal access to the home folder from the josm flatpak app. One can save the current stat in a file at ~/ but after a restart of the app it is gone and with it hours of work. No hint, no warning, no nothing. It would be nice if it either warns that it takes all file with it when exiting or only offers to store in a path were the files do not vanish.
