wrong gap in a "relation" containing a circular "way"

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Edit relation 8727908
2. execute "Select next gap"

What is the expected result?

the "way" is selected at the end of the "relation"

What happens instead?

the "way" in the middle of the "relation" is selected, near the circular "way"
