Description
The scale in the top left corner of the image window in JOSM is wrong. When it says 150m, for example, it should say (approx) 100m.
While this is being fixed, perhaps the scale should be adjusted so that the length is a round figure, and it should be subdivided so that small distances can be judged more easily.

I think the scale is correct. May be it was fixed in Changeset [588]? Could you please check again, and reopen the ticket if necessary? Then please tell us, why you think it is wrong, and which projection you use. Where on earth did you check it? Somewhere on the poles?
Just a quick thought - is this related to the projection in use? Would a vertical and horizontal scale be useful? The default projection renders them quite differently in my part of the world (i much prefer using the non-default projection because of this)
