Description
I'm making some changes to my own map using josm. I have two files containing certain regions. These files contain path changes. After each new path I create in these maps. New nodes are created and their idles are 0 by default. When I want to merge these two maps or perform any other operation, unexpected new paths are created. .As in the attached image. What can I do to prevent this from happening on Josm's side?

- It would help to have the two sample files. We should only be merging objects with the same positive id (the objects that appear to have id=0 actually have a negative number; we just show the user 0 by default).
- I suspect that you moved an node with a non-negative id, which would be merged.
