Request for JOSM Trac Update - Version 1.2.2 to 1.6

Considering that we are all here for free even a small boost to our productivity would due to an upgraded platform be meaningful. The impact would not only be in JOSM progress but also in our morale. Updating and improving the tools that we use as a community simply shows that we are appreciated

Well, we've been waiting several years for a python3 Trac and now waited 1 year for release of the "already finished" 1.6. And now 2 weeks after a release which isn't even announced properly on the Trac wiki comes such an obvious advertising from an anonymous account.

I wonder what's the reason behind this?
