Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
This happens after some time of usage. The Add Tag dialogue box works as expected when I start using JOSM. I am able to add inputs in the text field but after some time it gets disabled and I am only able to select existing values from the drop-down. When this happens all text input fields in JOSM get disabled, even for the changeset comment and source fields.
It just happens arbitrarily and I don't know exactly how to reproduce it but I mostly use the CTRL+A shortcut to add new tags and I usually get this problem after that.
What is the expected result?
I should be able to type text values in the key and value fields in the Add Tag dialogue
What happens instead?
I am only able to select existing values
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Other people have mentioned ibus as a potential source for the problem. You may or may not want to remove it from your system.
A workaround can be found at comment:3:ticket:22766. It pretty much involves finding another text field in JOSM and editing that.
