    initial v1
11I see you partitially understand my problems with New versions. To extend your view for better insight, I would ask you question. If I would install Win 8, is it possible to install Java 8 on such machine? My machine is from ~2016 as I have AMD 4 core CPU with 8 threads. It is not so old as you could think. But I really have no money to buy new PC or OS. So this is the second point. And the third point, if I will install the Win 8 and Java, will the icons of the program be big enough? As now I am using 800x600 resolution on a wider screen - and here this is the main point -- the GOAL -- Win XP can extend the 800px on x asis to full size, which make all characters or icons bigger. So it is better to see the details. This is big relieve for my eyes. But one the other hand as I have tested both W8 and W10, they seem not be capable to extend the 800px settings for x-axis to fit to full width of my monitor. It means, that they keep the original size 800px. So I don't know why by Win XP enables to extend this or to transform the width of 800px to full width which is 1920px. Also I know there is the scale settings on newer OS, but it is not the same... 1st I must to restart the OS if I just need to quick change the display resolution (hence it is not quick...) and I have to close the programs. So that is really bad, uncomfortable. Yes, I can work with some scale set to small resolution - but some programs still, they have very small icons or descriptions ... for example I use program called Shotcut - it's for cutting videos, and it has very small characters, so I hardly can read it. I think like JOSM could be more user frienly because on Win XP it has pretty big characters and icons. I just love it.

3Yet I wanted to ask you if may I create a ticket here to suggest a functionality to develop into JOSM. Some searching tool would be handy to help to find locations of highway=footway on ortophoto based on village green.
