Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Start of program. Version is 18570.
What is the expected result?
It happens after "mapové podklady"/map documents are read. After ignoring the program seems to work normally. I run it on Win XP.
What happens instead?
No problem with it just the window with error appears on every start. I am not sure this is related to OAuth failed message.
Please provide any additional information below. There is not message on the screen.

- Win XP is needed for me. I wouldn't want to leave it.
2.a OpenWeb succeeded to install. But there was some error on the begining of the setup.
2.b
Yeah, a lot of things from net stops working like the site with Java 17 (the buttons there are not working). I can access W10 temporally to download the install.

Urm. I don't know what to tell you. From the Java Windows XP page, it looks like a newer version of Java 8 (and later versions) might work on Windows XP, and you can try that. Again, we are planning on dropping Java 8 support this year, so if you do end up installing Java 8, you are going to stop being able to update JOSM in a few months. Sorry about that, but some of the libraries we depend upon are starting to drop Java 8 support, which is something I want to get ahead of before a major vulnerability is discovered in one of the libraries that has dropped Java 8 support.

I get why you don't want to leave Windows XP. Unfortunately, as I mentioned, Microsoft dropped all support for it 3 years ago. If you have programs that work on Windows XP and no later versions, I highly recommend disconnecting that machine from the network and using USB flash drives/CDs to move data between that machine and a Windows 10 machine. Either that, or plan on losing all the data on that machine due to malware.

I see you partitially understand my problems with New versions. To extend your view for better insight, I would ask you question. If I would install Win 8, is it possible to install Java 8 on such machine? My machine is from ~2016 as I have AMD 4 core CPU with 8 threads. It is not so old as you could think. But I really have no money to buy new PC or OS. So this is the second point. And the third point, if I will install the Win 8 and Java, will the icons of the program be big enough? As now I am using 800x600 resolution on a wider screen - and here this is the main point -- the GOAL -- Win XP can extend the 800px on x asis to full size, which make all characters or icons bigger. So it is better to see the details. This is big relieve for my eyes. But one the other hand as I have tested both W8 and W10, they seem not be capable to extend the 800px settings for x-axis to fit to full width of my monitor. It means, that they keep the original size 800px. So I don't know why by Win XP enables to extend this or to transform the width of 800px to full width which is 1920px. Also I know there is the scale settings on newer OS, but it is not the same... 1st I must to restart the OS if I just need to quick change the display resolution (hence it is not quick...) and I have to close the programs. So that is really bad, uncomfortable. Yes, I can work with some scale set to small resolution - but some programs still, they have very small icons or descriptions ... for example I use program called Shotcut - it's for cutting videos, and it has very small characters, so I hardly can read it. I think like JOSM could be more user frienly because on Win XP it has pretty big characters and icons. I just love it.
Yet I wanted to ask you if may I create a ticket here to suggest a functionality to develop into JOSM. Some searching tool would be handy to help to find locations of highway=footway on ortophoto based on village green.

It should be possible, yes. Java 8 works on Windows 10/11, and I don't think they've done anything that would keep Java 8 from running on Windows 8.
Windows still has the ability to change screen resolution, if I get what you are talking about, but I might not be.
Otherwise, you might be interested in text scaling.

Are you looking for the search functionality? (Edit

"Are you looking for the search functionality? (Edit -> Search)"
I mean to add some specific algorhytm to search for lines of green which have a specified distance which is of a value of footway width. So situation when there is village green in the area but there are no the footways drawn yet. But should be. What I mean is a tool which would help to speed the drawing process. Sometimes there are e.g. paralel lines of village green, but with gaps between them - there is no highwaz between. But human can see the path by glance. And these gaps are exactly the location of the footway, but nobody did the work to draw the footway in the location. You know, too much of work... But a clever alghoritm, could help... Maybe the tool could even do some suggestion where the footway could be located... SO the only thing needed is to compare various lines of village green which are not part of the same object, but are close each other like ~2m.
josm.jnlp
), we recommend OpenWebStart. Which might not work on Windows XP. At the very least, update to the current latest Java 8 version (1.8.0_351
). We are planning on dropping support for Java 8 this year, so you probably want to install Java 17 instead.
