JOSM has SERIOUS issues when EDITING/CORRECTING nodes/ways for PIPELINES!

Description

I have used JOSM on roads for years. I just started using it for MAN-MADE PIPELINE infrastructure and soon discovered just "elementary editing" of an existing node/way was creating DUPLICATE ways and correcting them is even more difficult! Correction of these "issues" will require extensive TESTING to isolate exactly what is creating these DUPLICATE ways. Unfortunately, at this time, I am so busy I don't have to time to pursue such an effort. And, I am going to have to find another Editor to complete the PIPELINE infrastructure project upon which I am working. While it isn't your problem, the OpenStreetMap support for PIPELINES is also rather rudimentary.

There is no special handling in JOSM for Pipelines. If you find a bug which creates unexpected duplicate lines then please create a new ticket with a detailed description how to reproduce it, but please without shouting (words in caps).

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
