Cannot download map data

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Open the application, click the green arrow to download map data -> error message and suggestion to report bug.

It worked on the same computer earlier today. Maybe something went wrong the last time I closed the application. Now it is unusable.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

How do you start JOSM?

Seems, you are missing some options on startup: --add-exports=java.base/sun.security.action=ALL-UNNAMED --add-exports=java.desktop/com.sun.imageio.plugins.jpeg=ALL-UNNAMED --add-exports=java.desktop/com.sun.imageio.spi=ALL-UNNAMED

On Ubuntu, I suggest to use our Ubuntu packages which ship a proper startup script with the needed options.
