Does this happen every time? A quick internet search leads me to believe that this may be caused by Windows UAC (why? I don't know).

Java version: 11.0.13+8-LTS, Azul Systems, Inc., OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM

Can you update the version of Java you are using? Azul indicates that 11.0.14.1+1 is the current version for Java 11 LTS.
See https://openwebstart.com/docs/OWSGuide.html#_jvm_management for how to manage JVM's in OpenWebStart.

yes, every time, it loads for a second or so, than freezes, then force closes. I've updated to JRE 11.0.14, same thing. Nut sure about the UAC though..

The UAC thing is something I saw when trying to figure out why JOSM would be crashing on Windows.

Anyway, can you try disabling all the plugins you have? Specifically, Mapillary.

If that fixes the problem, something changed the permissions of the cache folder. Please delete the cache folder (this is safe -- the cache folder should only have stuff that can be safely deleted and redownloaded/generated), and then re-enable the plugins you want to use (in this case, probably Mapillary).

See wiki:Help/Preferences#Windows for the cache folder location.

After one of these crashes my preferences got corrupted ( and got reseted ) and.. The issue is no longer there. Not sure what was causing it..

I hate it when things magically start working. There probably is an underlying issue somewhere that needs to be fixed, but without being able to reproduce (or a stack trace), we cannot do anything.

Anyway, thank you for coming back and letting us know that resetting preferences fixed the problem. It is also possible that the same thing that caused the corrupted preferences was causing the previous issue.
