Delete button does not work after 1st click on "Mark" button

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Click Mark button in the To-do window
2. Press Delete button on keyboard
3. Repeat

What is the expected result?

Both items should be deleted

What happens instead?

First item is deleted, next/all following items are not deleted.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

The various items are displayed in the Selection window as the single element after each Mark.
Selecting the Delete function in the Edit menu works, but not the Delete button on the keyboard.
This has been a problem for a few years.
Tested on Mac.
