What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start JOSM
What is the expected result?
JOSM starts quickly and without errors
What happens instead?
JOSM stalls at the "Initialising internal boundaries data" stage, and then displays the following error text:

but failed to do so, because of the following network errors:
- java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

The message goes on to suggest there may be an issue with proxy settings, but I have none configured, and do not expect to need one. Another user on the OSM Discord has stated they are receiving the same error.

Yep, looks like this has resolved itself in the last few days - the link now loads instantly for me as well.
