Better support for bookmarks would be cool:

  • Zoom Bookmarks ("go home")
  • Better editing interface (an own bookmark manager!)
  • "last visited"
  • Store bookmarks in server configs and making them public available.
  • import other peoples bookmarks.

The bookmark system has been enhanced through #5869 (r12495: home bookmark + recent edited locations).

We could still save bookmarks in OSM preferences API (see #15085, r12502).
