Description
When typing a query directly into the Overpass query textbox (on Download from Overpass API tab), the slippy map below the textbox reacts to certain characters and changes zoom or position. I identified this happens e.g. on + or - or = characters ('=' is used often in queries) and zooms them map.
This is distracting and seems needless and damaging, when you already have the map prepared to the right position.

I don't think I set any mapping manually, but + and = are on the same physical key on the US keyboard (left of backspace) and I am on Linux, if that makes a difference.

OK, I didn't know that, I use a german keyboard layout.

I can reproduce this with
+and-, but not with=. Did you set a shortcut to=manually?
