Dialogues panel dissappears

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. start up JOSM
2. select an area to download
3. click to download

What is the expected result?

What happens instead?

Everything looks normal until the data download is complete, then the dialogues panel goes blank. If I move my mouse pointer slowly up and down the blank area, it changes to the double ended arrow at the points where you may change the size of the boxes.

Did you try to close some of the panels by clicking on the corresponding icon on the left hand side?

It's 2020 and modern software doesn't work reliably anymore on 32-bit Windows systems, you should upgrade to 64-bit to avoid this kind of weird stuff.
