#19547 closed defect (worksforme)

Website (josm.openstreetmap.de) is not reachable via IPv6

Description

I'm not sure where to report this, as I can't find an obvious webmaster e-mail.

The website josm.openstreetmap.de is unreachable by certain tools, most importantly SVN, which makes it quite impossible to check out the JOSM sources.

The problem is that DNS is providing two addresses, one IPv4 (95.216.72.248) and one IPv6 (2a01:4f9:2b:907::2). Applications that only use IPv4 (curl, and thankfully Firefox!) work fine, but applications that use IPv6 (wget, svn) just time out.

Presumably this is due to either a server or DNS misconfiguration...

Resolution: worksforme
Status: newclosed

We have about 1.2% IPv6 connections for JOSM connections (poor IPv6 support in Java), about 10% of incoming traffic and 50% of outgoing (backup uses IPv6).

The issue is on your side and you should find and fix it yourself.
