Description
Can You please add create folder in imagery preferences so users can arrange their imagery list better. It would be of a great help if we could have this option, so one can group for example 10 imagery list in one folder so he does not needs to scroll whole list to find needed imagery

And there is the filter box above the layer list. You can use parts of the source name, the country code (e.g. cz), the country name (e.g. czech republic, use the country name in the language JOSM is set to), the source type (photo, historicphoto, map, historicmap, osmbasedmap or other) or the URL.

I use lot of imagery from sources that are not in JOSM predefined list. It would be nice to have option to organize them in groups and display them as sub menu. For example I can have list with all sources from USA, then another from Canada, Europe... If I have 10 from each one that is a list of 30, and it would be easier if I just have 3 in the main list. I think this is doable and lot of users will find it useful.

Why don't you simply edit the JOSM wiki then? So that others can benefit from these entries as well.

Ok, folks, the question was is it possible to add function that enables folder grouping in imagery, can someone answer this simple question??? Why I use so many, because I do. Why not updating wiki, because these are small area imageries or my private imagery that i visualize over wms. But this is not important at all, maybe users would like to organize imagery in their own way, maybe they edut maps accross the globe... So, if it is possible please add this function into josm. Thanks in advance, Aleksandar

A possible solution for you: If you have many private images, then create your own imagery.xml file and add the imagery there. Add proper boundary polygons. This way the boundary check of JOSM will work and does the grouping for you. Add a link to your file in the expert option "imagery.layers.sites" to activate it. Be sure it validates with the XSD file for JOSM imagery: http://josm.openstreetmap.de/maps-1.0
Hmm, why do you have so much that they need grouping? Most of the images appear automatically when you are in a certain region. Only a few must be added manually.
